BikeSecure.co – Provides at point of sale registration for bike shops, our data is updated as soon as someone notifies them of a theft.

BikeShepherd.org – Provides registration services to the public, our data is updated as soon as someone notifies them of a theft.

StolenBristolBikes.com – Provided a service for bike theft victims in the Bristol area, now closed down we can still search their archives.

Adhoc Police Information

Whilst we have the opinion that adhoc information is not the ideal format for our needs, we also have the opinion that some data is better than no data so have used freedom of information legislation to request data from the police.

You should however bear in mind that the below data is far from complete and due to inconsistencies in the way frame numbers are recorded some stolen bikes may be missing and recovered bikes are almost certainly in the lists (always check our results with the police force in question).

Please bear in mind that we do not currently get updates when a bike is recovered. If a frame number matches one from the police records please contact the police force in question to confirm.

Search Engines

As well as the above sources, we also use Bing to check for occurrences of the frame number on cycling forums and publicly accessible websites.
